Visit the GCIP-SA’s stand at the 9th SA Innovation Summit (SAIS), which will be held at the Birchwood Hotel and OR Tambo Conference Centre from 21 – 24 September 2016. The 26 2016 GCIP-SA semi-finalists will also be presenting their technology innovations to a panel of judges at the SAIS Match and Invest Platform, as part of the preparations for the final GCIP-SA judging at the end of September before the finalists are announced on 5 October.
The GCIP-SA also participated in the 8th South Africa Innovation Summit in Cape Town on 27-28 August 2015, where three GCIP-SA semifinalists took top honours in the Green Technology category: Rocket Works walked away with the first place award valued at R100 000; the second place went to the ZingBug Project, with a prize value of R70 000; and the third place valued at R50 000 was awarded to Solazela. The prizes were sponsored by the Climate Innovation Centre in the green technology category.
